Do you sell gift cards?
Yes we do! They last up to three years and have a minimum purchase limit of $25.
OMG can I please work for you?
It is every book nerd's dream to work in a bookstore, so we completely understand why we have been inundated with requests to come and work at Astoria. While we have grand visions of what this place can become, there is a lot of growing and learning to go before then! When we are ready to expand the team, we will post on social media regarding positions and how to apply.
Canberra is too far away! Will you have an online store?
Yes...but not yet! For the remainder of 2025 we will be focused on developing operations at our physical store in Fyshwick. But keep an eye out for the launch of our online store in 2026!
I'm an indie author, would you like to stock my books?
Absolutely, we would! Connecting authors with new and existing readers is one of our missions at the store! That being said, we are a brand new business and cannot yet afford to stock every author who reaches out. If you are interested in Astoria stocking your books or partnering with us for an in-store event, please contact us. We will check you out and review if it is a good fit for right now, or in the future!
Would you like to stock my bookish merch?
Thank you for your interest in selling at Astoria! We already have a few collaborations in the works to provide our customers with unique and quality bookish merch. But you never know what new and exciting idea is around the corner! Feel free to message us your pitch, but please be patient with our response as we are a small team of two.
Will you be doing pre-launch events for upcoming releases?
We hope to be hosting lots of events like this in the future! These events are completely dependent on our relationship with the publishers of various popular releases. So make sure you come and support us in store when we open so we can build those relationships and bring YOU more specialised bookish events!
What is the return policy?
We aim to make sure every customer walks away satisfied. If you would like further information, our return policy is located at the bottom of the website. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:
- Gift cards
- Bookish merchandise such as: Special edition books, clothing, crockery.
- Products that were sold on the basis
that they were faulty or damaged and you were made aware of this before
you purchased the product.
